Experience
I have been in education since 2001, where I worked as an elementary school teacher in New York City. In 2005, I moved to Georgia and worked as a fifth grade teacher. Overall, I have fifteen years' experience working in the public school system. In addition to teaching in the classroom, I am working as a coordinator for the country school board, where I help design and implement testing procedures.I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in elementary education, with a focus on special education. I am also working toward completing my doctorate degree at Grand Canyon University, in instructional leadership. After I finish graduate school, I plan on pursuing a career as a school administrator.I strongly believe that education is not a privilege but rather a right. Every child is entitled to a quality education, and no matter what obstacles arise along the way, it is the teacher's duty to ensure that he or she succeeds academically. I have strictly followed this philosophy since I started teaching.I tutor in elementary subjects such as reading, writing, math, and sciences. I am also able to help students prepare for standardized tests like the SAT and GRE. In my free time, I enjoy bowling and roller skating.
